Jordan: Sight-impaired refugee gives gift of music to the next generation
When Ehsan lost his sight as a youth, he gained a new view on to the world through music. He learned traditional drumming through hearing alone and became a professional musician. In 2012, he was forced to flee his home in Damascus, Syria, but brought his talents with him, and began teaching music to refugee children in Azraq camp, Jordan. UNHCR marks the International Day of People Living with Disabilities, on December 3, with a portrait of an artist making a positive impact on the world.
