Central African refugees, exiled across the river, long for home
Over 60,000 refugees from Central African Republic have fled across the Ubangi River to the northwestern part of Democratic Republic of the Congo since fighting erupted in May. But in Kpapko, a refugee settlement not far from the town of Mobayi-Mbongo, food and water are in short supply. Kpapko's inhabitants face uncertainty and are largely dependent on the river for survival.
