France: Refugee chefs give schools a taste of something new
While Normandy hosted the prestigious Bayeux war reporting awards festival last month, students in the region were getting a different outlook on world conflict, with a close-up experience with refugees. UNHCR, in concert with the NGO Food Sweet Food and the Calvados department, brought refugees into middle-school classrooms and canteens, giving teens a moving encounter with people forced to flee persecution.
