    Book claims Battle of Buxar made English supreme power in India. Fact: Marathas, in spite of Panipat, were the dominant power up to 1790s.

    Book says Guru Gobind Singh formed Khalsa to "oppose the wrongdoings of Mughals". They won't tell you this.

    Haider Ali "became" the ruler of Mysore. Of course, no mention of how he did it (treachery) and who ruled Mysore for 6 centuries before him.

    8th standard new ICSE textbook gives many explanations for decline of Mughal empire. Studiously avoids mention of Marathas. Worse follows.

    They've actually included three full pages on the 250 year long Vijayanagar empire. (Mughal rule was shorter but gets almost the full book).

    Delhi sultanate a secular administration! Some mention of Hindus here for the first time in the book. Caste, sati, child marriage, purdah!!

    Qutb Minar: fusion of Hindu - Islamic architecture!! The 27 temples that were demolished for it are kept out of history as usual.
