You guys need to step up the language a bit. This is a monstrous policy that purposefully violates the human rights of innocent children, and inflicts tremendous, lasting psychological trauma on them for the stated purpose of "deterrence". You need to go after Trump hard.

Fwiw, "catch & release" is a term made up by Trump. It's never been "policy." Under Obama, illegal immigrants (& many asylum seekers) were turned away. Biggest difference is in deciding to criminally prosecute these same people, ripping kids from parents & costing taxpayers $$$$$

I agree. That's for prevention. But, after having already entered illegally, the adults are subject to prosecution. In this country, offenders who are arrested and jailed are routinely separated from their children.
