    While Governments squabble over responsibility people’s lives are put in greater jeopardy:

    Night falls but still no assigned port of safety for 339 people rescued in by rescue ship & merchant ship . It's an obligation to rescue people in distress at sea, they must be disembarked in nearest port of safety!

    No PM who was willing to recognise "everything" that represents, which must surely include the social & political attitudes suffered by many new (and not so new) comers to UK, then and now, could possibly want to celebrate that.

    This is true in more ways than one because perpetrators of dehumanising hostility lose their own humanity & capacity by the very act of depriving their victims:
