    Thank you for saying this. More than 70% of refugees in Kenya are women and children. Almost half are children. The refugee crisis in Kenya is a crisis of the young. We need to welcome refugees in Kenya, stand with and seek solutions.

    It's time we look at refugees as people who were forced to flee from their homes due to wars and not as competitors or terrorists. and

    Ahead of World Refugee Day this Wednesday. Really glad is shining the light on the terrible Meditterean Sea crisis. Particularly as so many of the victims are from Africa.

    Starting my visit to Libya by remembering all those who have lost their lives in desperate attempts to cross the sea. They are people, not numbers. Women, men, children. May they rest in peace.

    Thank God this is over. Many on board were children from Libya and parts of West Africa.

    We applaud Spain for its actions today in bringing to an end a sea-rescue crisis on the Mediterranean after a ship, the , was refused permission to land and disembark elsewhere more than 600 rescued people. Statement:
