    They are not just figures and numbers, they are lives, stories, dreams, tragidies and epics, but in principle they are human beings

    Very saddened by the news of 120 persons drowning at sea off the coast of over the past 2 days. Calling for legal pathways to provide alternatives to these dangerous crossings for persons in need of international protection in Libya

    Flying tonight from Libya to Niger with 122 refugees freed from detention centers in Tripoli. Hopefully they will be resettled to third countries soon. This programme is crucial: it provides safe, orderly alternatives to people smuggling and exploitation.

    لا تمثل الهجرة ثقافة مجتمع في ليبيا، فهي حلم لا يتعدى المخيلة و فكرة لا تغادر التفكير إلى التنفيذ على الأغلب، ربما لنمطية المجتمع، الخوف من المجهول، و عدم التأقلم و التعايش مع المجتمعات الغريبة التي تجعل فكرة البقاء داخل الصندوق أكثر راحةو تماشيا مع عقلية النمط الإجتماعي الواحد.

    5 year old Tesfa was amongst the 132 refugees that UNHCR evacuated from Libya to Niamey, Niger today as this UNHCR program to evacuate vulnerable refugees to 3rd countries resumed, 1474 refugees evacuated so far

    Libia: "quando le persone sono in detenzione, chiedere loro se vogliono tornare a casa significa ignorare la ragione per la quale sono partite". Le misure di protezione devono esistere prima di qualsiasi rimpatrio.
