    While rain is pouring on Myanamar, i think about this pathway we elevated in Nyaung Pyin Gyi, . In the past it was inundated during the rainy season. Today, 5000 people use this road to connect with other villages, access the river for fishing or travel to Sittwe

    'Granting citizenship to those eligible' is very worrying language, apparent endorsement of the 1982 Citizenship Law which itself violates international law and Burma's treaty obligations.

    Myanmar's new UN envoy, Christine Schraner Burgener, called for “credible fact-finding measures & highlighted the readiness on the part of the United Nations and the international community to cooperate,” in this regard.
