    I recently connected with a Hindu family now in Dehradun, India - but originally from my ancestral village Dulmial, Punjab, present day Pakistan. The Muslims helped them move safely across the border during partition. We have re-developed a strong bond after 2 generations!

    Thousands of South Asian immigrants came to the UK as a result of (like my father) and have done wonderful things for this country. But the wounds of Partition still feed hatred & division that is passed down the generations 3/10

    As part of the ‘Stepping into the Future- THE BIG WALK’ Year 6 participated in various activities at the Batley Stadium, which they thoroughly enjoyed! Year 6 also had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Batley Gwen Lowe, who spoke with them about always having high aspirations.

    I am tired of people arguing & looking for imperfections in each other's actions & words. We are all imperfect. What we do & say is imperfect. Try to appreciate the effort & the essence of the actions or words. As long as those imperfections are not harming people, let them go.
