Indian actor John Abraham has been supporting UNHCR since 2014 and was announced as a Goodwill Ambassador in April 2016.
John has met with refugees in India and highlighted the plight of refugees and work of UNHCR through media interactions and social media networks. He has supported key UNHCR events and campaigns, including World Refugee Day, the #IBelong campaign to end statelessness and a film highlighting the important difference between refugees and migrants and the different protection they are entitled to under international law.
