In terms of advancing the human rights of women with disabilities, most don't need disability specific services but rather inclusion in sexual and reproductive health efforts designed to reach the general community.

Governments should consider needs of persons with disabilities in ethical & human rights dimensions. Inclusion doesn't have to be an overwhelming task. It should be an integral part of policy formulation & programming.

The status of women’s health, their participation in the economy and their education levels must be priority in the development agenda. Where gender gaps in these areas prevail, women will always be subjected to violence.

As I said at mtg on , we will only if we engage boys and men actors of change. We must start early as far too many boys still grow up accepting a social construct that says they have power over women and girls. This must change and it must change now.
