    According to survivors, a wooden boat carrying an unknown number of refugees and migrants capsized off the coast of Libya on 19 June. A number of bodies have been retrieved by rescuers or washed up on the beaches. Tragic, heartbreaking, avoidable.

    I met Amina in Lesvos in 2016. She was standing despite losing everything—not once, but twice— when she left Syria, and again when the boat capsized with her husband in it. I can't stress enough the urgency, reach out, learn more, speak up
