Our brilliant colleague Jo Cox would have been 44 years old today. This weekend people will celebrate her life and remember how she campaigned for refugees with such compassion and determination. Get along to a event near you:

Another form of pattern bargaining: first cut taxes, then say you're forced to cut services

Pretty sure I just heard suggest that without these tax cuts the rich may not get richer and that would risk the poor not getting the picture. And we can’t have that. Can we?

Wow. We now know that did a deal with the Government, to give herself and other high income earners a massive tax cut. And all she got in return was that the Govt would “consider” a few more apprenticeships. She really just doesn’t care.

The Liberal Party ducking and weaving today on One Nation ‘deal’ on income tax cuts. Time to fess up and tell Australians what the deal was. ?

The LNP are boasting about how much cash they have for tax cuts for their rich mates and give themselves an $8,000 pay rise but cry poor when it comes to welfare costs and are still cutting those. Hypocritical!!

It’s just awful that a child’s access to early education is determined by their parent’s employment and not by what’s best for Australia’s children! The whole system is a mess (except the educators, they’re wonderful).

Universal, free, accessible, quality early childhood education & care provided by well-paid, respected & valued educators is a fundamental bedrock upon which to build social equity. Not even on the horizon Australia .....
