    If we separated children from parents when parents broke the law, every minivan going 5 miles over the speed limit would be filled with potential orphans. A policy of immigration deterrence by kidnapping is both morally heartless and logically ridiculous.

    When top US capitalists profited more by free trade, workers lost good, secure jobs, etc. If capitalists move to protection, workers’ costs of living will rise. However capitalists choose, workers lose. Free trade vs protection is not our issue; capitalism is.
