    In 2017, the US resettled 33,000 refugees. In 2016 it resettled 97,000. Canada settled 27,000, Australia 15,000, the UK 6,000. Per capita, Canada led the world in 2017 by resettling 725 refugees per 1 million residents. (The Refugee Brief, UNHCR 6 July 2018)
