    Ours too. Not least because he reaches out constantly to people who are hostile to refugee and immigration and explains the facts, patiently, over and over again. We all need to keep soreading the word....

    I know he’s not comfortable with the word but Brendan is a huge hero of mine :) (sorry Brendan!)

    Spot on. Sadly. One e.g: funding for English language classes cut by 50%. Govt then pledges £2 million per year for five years purely for Syrian refugees.

    This is a consistent feature of recent policy - tiny pots of money for big problems. It's the policy equivalent of virtue signalling

    We are so lucky to work with fabulous refugee support groups across the country- recruiting hosts, getting the word out there, referring or supporting guests, finding long term accommodation, fighting legal cases, the list goes on
