Afghan father puts down new roots in Crete
Mojtaba was a taxi driver in Afghanistan before he was forced to flee. Now an asylum-seeker with the right to work, he makes his living on the Greek island of Crete, picking fruit.
Mojtaba lives with his mother in housing provided by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Around 600 refugees and asylum-seekers have found safety and a home on Crete through this accommodation programme.
