Today, most of the Muslim world is caught up in culture and tradition, and the Sunnah seems odd, weird, different. When people want to do it, the traditionalists, the cultural nationalists, will say you are a wahabi, you are a deviant and you’re trying to bring a new religion.

The Almighty may seem to have closed certain doors in your life but in actual fact, He’s waiting to see how persistent you are and how much you want that something. Perhaps a push in the form of a supplication might just open it! Be sincere in your intent. Try it!

Remain polite at all times. Even if you disagree with someone, there are ways to do it respectfully. There’s no need to resort to name calling, cursing, abusive and foul language. There’s no justification to mock and insult others. Remember, leave the judging to the Almighty.

When you’re angry, try not to say anything. Remain silent. It’s very difficult and requires discipline. This will stop you from uttering mean words out of anger. Your anger will pass. But your mean words can scar someone for life. So use kind words or be silent.
