    Thread on Lynching & the rule of law. Bear with me as I set down the problem as I see it. Basic problem is the assumption that law has to favour the powerful over the powerless. Thus the more powerful the mob, the lesser the chance of legal punishment +

    The above incident comes in the heels of the Hapur lynchings, which aside from the sheer depravity of the crime itself, raised serious doubts over the state machinery.

    BJP's decision of felling 17 thousand trees in South Delhi shows what is wrong with its 'development model'. It is known that Delhi is turning into a 'Gas Chamber' and the BJP Government has only contributed to it by hiking metro fares earlier, now it wants to ruin little left.

    Sickens me each time I read BJP leaders supporting lynching accused by glorifying them as defenders of cow, providing them legal assistance, granting them govt jobs or simply denying the lynching incident. WhatApp is just a medium, BJP is the source

    Sickens me each time I read of a man being lynched over a rumour. These unchecked, malicious forwards are driving people over the edge and making them totally irrational. Need to find a way of fighting fake news being spread through
