  7. Thanks! It is indeed one of our priorities to disaggregate data & reflect gender & other dimensions whenever possible. Our research on the ongoing crisis is recent. We are still collecting more data & will be able to identify trends & disaggregate data only in the months to come.

  8. Our researcher received a lot of abusive tweets leading up to and since the publication of the report. It is important to remember that this is not our researcher’s report but in fact an Amnesty International report and thus targeting her specifically online is uncalled for.

  9. We welcome the Cameroonian government’s announcement that a delegation will visit the localities where Cameroonian Anglophone asylum seekers have settled to discuss with them their needs & create conditions for safe return.

  16. We did not provide any figures about the death toll resulting from the ongoing crisis. We have documented the killing of dozens of peaceful protesters in the context of demonstrations organised across the North and South West regions since late 2016.

  18. We carried out investigations in Cameroon with the help of trained consultants. Their findings were then corroborated with information & material evidence we gathered first hand in Nigeria.

  20. Documenting every crime is challenging and our report wasn't intended to be exhaustive. The Menka incident occurred after our report had been finalized. We received information about it and are investigating it.
