Today the Liberal and National parties, supported by Senators Griff, Patrick, Hanson, Georgiou, Bernardi, Leyonhjelm, Anning, Burston and Hinch gave themselves a thumping big tax cut. Even the most junior backbencher/crossbencher pockets $7,225. Disgusting. AW

2013 Julia Gillard handed the liberals the best performing economy in the world . Since then the liberals have driven it like they stole it

The biggest claim the LNP made against the ALP in regards to them being financial irresponsibile was the ALP blew 100bn in three years. The coalition just spent 140bn in 3 minutes.

I’m a moderate Labor man & centrist. But I loathe what Turnbull is doing to our once fair society. Penalty rates slashed for our kids, women, hard workers. Tax cuts for ultra rich which will never “trickle down” to anyone. Public schools and hospitals starved of funds 1/2

  7. So Trump does a Dutton, and the whole world loses it shit. Meanwhile in Australia .....crickets...

LNP Logic - Homelessness up - Poverty up - Suicide rates up - Medicare frozen - Wages stagnant - Hours worked down - Penalty Rates removed - Public Services down - Equality down - DV services down But hey let's give $7K tax cuts to Millionaires.

To think that Hanson the half wit can hold OZ to ransom and Mal can rely on her to push through his money shifting tax cuts to the wealthy. Its just fn gobsmacking.

When the ALP win the next Election, here's a to-do list. - FEDERAL ICAC - Royal Commission into DIBP - Introduce "truth in media" laws - Re-fund TAFE - Unfreeze Medicare - Swap School Chaplains for trained Counsellors - Make Tax havens illegal - Enjoy a decade in power

Along with Labor and the Greens, can we take a moment to applaud Senator Tim Storer. His conscientious approach to policy never wavered through the tax cut debate, despite the Coalition's attempts to logroll every other crossbench senator.

I remember saying in the dying days of the Abbott reign that we were sleep walking to a dark place. I never thought Turnbull would take us there and then have us accelerating over horizon.

I don’t want a tax cut. I want you to properly fund . I want you to fully fund hospitals. I want you to properly fund the . I want you to fund . I want you to make university accessible to all. I want a robust social safety net. I don’t want a tax cut.

Why haven’t I heard one comment from LNP voters about the ‘debt & deficit disaster’ they squawked about during the Labor years? Are they all that old and got Alzheimer’s?

The vast majority of the benifit of 's unfunded tax changes go to the top 20% I want to know how is this fair? Its like the poor have been given a pack of beer nuts while the rich get wagu steak in truffle sauce. Under Lnp the rich get richer & the poor get screwed.

Capitalism is self emploding, coal is on the way out, trickle down affect is a myth, pollution is at record high, yet many LNP voters seem to ‘think’ the LNP has the answer for AU’s future. Nothing is more scary than ignorance in action

ScoMo has managed to double our debt in only four years. Quite an achievement from the man whose legacy will surely include being the worst treasurer we ever had.

Very unbecoming of an Australian Senator. Very irresponsible of an Australian Senator. Very vulgar of an Australian Senator. Very stupid of an Australian Senator. Australia, we deserve a better calibre of politician than this, one who respects our licensing laws for one.
