Author and vlogger John Green started supporting UNHCR in 2015.
John and his brother Hank raised significant funds for UNHCR through their Vlogbrothers annual ‘Project for Awesome’ community-driven charitable movement on YouTube.
In March 2015, John travelled to Jordan to meet Syrian families living in Zaatari and Azraq refugee camps, as well as Amman. Through vlogs and photographs, John helped to tell some of their extraordinary stories of escape and survival, helping to highlight the vital role of UNHCR in supporting and protecting refugees.
