Social assistance

UNHCR, with support from ACAI, offers refugees and asylum-seekers assistance in order to improve their integration. Social workers seek to promote self-sufficiency and empowerment of refugees and asylum-seekers, ensuring that their basic needs are covered. This is accomplished by giving information, advice and material support in the form of food, shelter and education.
You must make an appointment before arriving. The service is free. All material support is subject to previous evaluation. You can request more information by calling 800-8002224 or sending a text message to 8593-0249.

The RET also offers social empowerment programs for refugees, with special attention given to young people. You can find out more information about RET services by calling 2293-2611.
