Forthcoming Training in Burundi
CCCM training has been requested in Burundi to induct new staff in the principles, approaches and standards of CCCM and increase capacity among all implementing partners. UNHCR Burundi, together with ONPRA, the Government of Burundi's National Office for the Protection of Refugees and Asylum seekers, is currently managing two transit centres and four camps, the newest of which was established as recently as May 15th, 2013. The country operation is concerned with both IDPs, refugees and returnees from Tanzania and DRA, following a recent tripartite agreement with the Government of Burundi, which may lead to the return of up to 13,000 people.
The training, which is planned to take place in August, will focus on building capacity for both National Officials and CCCM implementing partners at field and national level. It will tackle issues faced working in collective centres and planned camps, as well as problems faced in return areas.
The training will be held in French.
