140,000 people were affected when intercommunal violence broke out in Myanmar in June and October 2012. In the beginning most had to live in improvised, makeshift shelters on land that floods. Since then the work of the Shelter and Camp Management Cluster Partners has improved the situation temporarily for most displaced people. However, durable solutions still need to be identified.
