“The Camp: Coordination in Action.” The film was jointly developed by the CCCM Cluster in South Sudan with the global cluster support. It was filmed on location in June 2014 on the Protection of Civilian (POC) site in Malakal in South Sudan by an independent cinematographer.
En el marco del proyecto “Fortalecimiento de las capacidades locales para la respuesta y gestión del riesgo frente a eventos sísmicos en las Provincias de Puerto Plata y Santiago, República Dominicana”, que dentro de sus objetivos busca mejorar la capacidad funcional para albergar personas afectadas por desastres sísmicos y otros eventos naturales, se elabora esta Caja de Herramientas para la Gestión de Albergues (Centros Colectivos) con el fin de fortalecer las capacidades de las entidades encargadas de la gestión de asentamientos humanos generados por desastres naturales. Este compendio de herramientas está centrado en la Gestión de los Centros Colectivos (Albergues), que consisten en infraestructuras preexistentes usadas para albergar personas mayoritariamente en zonas urbanas.
In CCCM responses, the care and maintenance phase will normally have the longest program life-span. These responses include camp mobilisation and collective centre management.
With the UNHCR Mass Information Toolkit, humanitarian workers can easily produce for signposts, flyers, posters and brochures as well as a video-like screen show in Arabic or English on standard office software. The only training necessary is this 10-minute tutorial.

140,000 people were affected when intercommunal violence broke out in Myanmar in June and October 2012. In the beginning most had to live in improvised, makeshift shelters on land that floods. Since then the work of the Shelter and Camp Management Cluster Partners has improved the situation temporarily for most displaced people. However, durable solutions still need to be identified.
