The ceremony is organised by UNHCR in cooperation with the State Council of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, the Administrative Council of the City of Geneva and the IKEA Foundation, to honour the outstanding achievements of individuals, groups and organisations who support those forced to flee. Every year, the ceremony brings together performers and speakers passionate about the refugee cause.
The Nansen Refugee Award ceremony ceremony is by invitation only and unfortunately not open to the public. However, in 2017, for the first time ever, the Ceremony was covered on Facebook Live. Keep checking this page for details on how you can watch on Monday 1 October.
