UNHCR’s Visitor Centre welcomes thousands of people from all over the world every year. Although its home outside our Geneva headquarters may be small, the centre has a big heart and a proud history.
Inside, our staff and exhibition space inform visitors about the plight of refugees, as well as UNHCR’s tireless efforts to protect them. We have welcomed government delegations, academics, students, aid workers and the public, and are happy to organise presentations or lectures for groups by appointment.

Opening Hours: The centre is open to the public on Monday afternoon, and from Tuesday to Friday (from 9:30 to 12:00pm and from 14:00 to 16:00)

Library Reference Services: The UNHCR library collection on refugee-related issues has been moved from the Geneva headquarters building. It is now available at the UNOG Library in the Palais des Nations, Geneva, from Monday to Friday.
