For skilled artisans who are forced to flee their country, the prospect of living a life of art as a refugee seems impossible. La Fabrique Nomade, a UNHCR-supported NGO, is seeking to change that by helping sculptors, woodworkers and weavers among others to practice their craft in France. For Sudanese potter Yasir, it has led to a job and a connexion to a community of art lovers in his newfound home.
