The UNHCR Innovation Fellowship is a year long learning program for UNHCR’s workforce.
The Fellowship program focuses on building Fellows’ innovation skills and competences and supporting them to lead and facilitate innovation with colleagues, partners and refugees in their own operations or divisions. Over the course of the year, Innovation Fellows learn and use innovation methods and tools and embed new approaches in innovation projects in real-life. They focus on problem solving, ideation and experimenting solutions to real-life challenges in the field or HQs. They are the organization’s Innovation ambassadors for innovation and lasting positive change.
Innovation Fellows work in field operations around the world as well as headquarters. They represent the diversity of nationalities, skill sets, and global reach of UNHCR’s operations.
The ‘UNHCR Innovation Women Series’ highlights unique perspectives and challenges of women in UNHCR. They offer advice on being a woman in the humanitarian field, lessons learned, stories from their careers, and simple actions we can take to bring more equity into the workplace.
