Drones offer cheap mapping from the sky

The use of drones could help with insurance and agriculture according to the co-founder of a drone based software company.

DroneDeploy aims to help fly drones over particular areas and then process the images into maps and 3D models.

The company recently released one million acres of drone data and launched in over 120 countries.

Those behind the company believe that drones will prove a cheaper and more flexible alternative to mapping and surveying by heavier aircraft.

BBC Click spoke to DroneDeploy's Jono Millan about the use of drones and their place in today's society.
