For children whose schooling has been disrupted by conflict and flight, studying presents a special challenge. Displacement also renews learning difficulties for parents; many refugee parents struggle with illiteracy and inadequate education. In the village of Fnaydek, north of Lebanon, these Syrian refugee mothers are learning how to read and write to help jump-start theirs and their children’s education.
