About Jesús

Spanish TV presenter Jesús Vázquez started supporting UNHCR in Spain in 2006 and was appointed as a National Goodwill Ambassador in 2008. He has used his media access and public influence to raise funds and awareness for those forced to flee their homes, promoting UNHCR's work around the world.

Jesús has met refugees and the internally displaced in Colombia, Kenya, Tunisia and Jordan, sharing his experiences with Spanish TV audiences and on social media. He has been a key supporter of fundraising campaigns, helping to secure regular donations from the general public and the corporate sector, and has also featured in creative projects produced for World Refugee Day and our #WithRefugees campaign, among others.

He is particularly interested in education, gender issues and health, including measures to control the spread of HIV/AIDS among displaced populations.
