Comments Adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 12 July 2007 at the 1002nd meeting of the Ministers' Deputies. The Convention is the first treaty to establish the various forms of sexual abuse of children as criminal offences, including trafficking in children, and harmonizes the legal framework to combat sexual abuse against children in various forms. The Convention entered into force on 1 July 2010.
