Information on the Democratic Party of the Worker could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB. The 1994 and 1995 editions of Country Reports report that a party which "professes to represent the interests of Bulgaria's Pomak population" was registered as a political party, but no name is provided (1994, 820; 1995, 768).
However, please consult the attachments for information on the Democratic Party of Labor, led by a Kamen Burov, which claims to represent the interests of Pomaks. Additional information indicating whether or not this is the same party and leader could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.
According to the Central Electoral Commission, in the 18 December 1994 elections for the National Assembly, a Democratic Labor Party, bearing registration number 43, received 2,450 votes, representing 0.05 of votes cast (Durzhaven Vestnik 30 Dec. 1994). This source does not list either the Democratic Party of the Worker, or the Democratic Party of Labor (ibid.).
