NIAMEY, Niger, June 7 (UNHCR) - Tens of thousands of people have fled their homes in south-east Niger following a series of attacks in recent days by Boko Haram insurgents on the town of Bosso in the troubled Diffa region, the UN Refugee Agency said today.
In commemoration of World Refugee Day on 20 June, UNHCR organized the 6th Refugee Film Festival to celebrate the dignity of refugees and promote a deeper understanding of hundreds and thousands of refugees who were forced to flee from their homes as a consequence of war and persecution.
