RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – To tumultuous applause and a standing ovation, ten members of the first-ever refugee team made history on Friday evening marching into the famed Maracanã Stadium at the Opening Ceremony of the Rio2016 Olympics.

Rose Nathike Lokonyen, a 23-year-old South Sudanese runner, led the first-ever Refugee Olympic Team into the stadium behind the banner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to cheers and chants of support from an ecstatic crowd.

Bangkok, 11 July, 2016 (Bangkok) – After months of creative collaboration, a group of Thai celebrities are now ready to unveil their artworks in support of refugees in Thailand on Saturday 23 July at Atrium 1, 1st floor of Siam Center.

TORBALI, Turkey – One man can change lives. Just ask the Syrian refugees in Torbali, near Izmir, about the work of Levent Topçu.

Levent, known to the refugees simply by his first name, is the 52-year-old general manager of Ege, a Turkish company that makes leather goods and employs 60 people.
