As a contribution to International Woman’s Day and to the promotion of gender equality in the economic sector, UNHCR Sub Office Kilinochchi in coordination with the District Secretariat Kilinochchi has presided over a trade fair by women for them to showcase women entrepreneurship in Kilinochchi.

The three days trade fair has been inaugurated on Tuesday 11th March, with a ceremony performed by the District Secretariat. The entry to the trade fair is free to encourage serious visitors. The trade fair will be concluded on 13th March 2014 evening. Women entrepreneurs in Kilinochchi district are exhibiting exclusive products like cane products, coir products, clothing, dried food items, snacks and drinks which were produced by UNHCR funded Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) in Kilinochchi.
