UNHCR assists with emergencies in more than 130 countries—in over 470 locations.

From major capitals to remote, difficult locations, our 10,800 field staff are directly helping the most vulnerable victims who have fled war, disaster or persecution. We host offices in donor countries worldwide and wherever refugees are arriving, working closely with governments to ensure the 1951 Refugee Convention is honoured.
