A UNHCR partner for several years, IDRF generously supported UNHCR’s work in Myanmar.
With its mission of empowering disadvantaged people of the world and extending humanitarian aid without discrimination, IDRF offers Emergency Relief, Rehabilitation and sustainable development programs to the most vulnerable people. The Foundation works with local partners who best understand their own challenges and opportunities.

IMPACT
In Myanmar, currently 640,000 people, mostly minority Rohingya, have been internally displaced, forced to flee from brutal violence that began in 2012. Unable to work, people continue to need food, water and shelter. IDRF’s support allowed UNHCR, along with a local partner, to provide food for 1,000 desperate internally displaced people.
