The message is very clear. Ethnic people don't want statue of Daw AungSanSuKyi's father. We want our rights, self-determination, and genuine peace in our land, not General Aung San's statue with hollow promises, we see it has another form of Burmanisation.

"Citizenship status should be determined according to the Constitution and existing laws." Burmese gov officials have said it over & over again. This means no full citizenship for all Rohingya, no safe return, it means not complying with Rakhine Commission recommendations.

Military is a key obstacle but it is within the power of Aung San Suu Kyi's government to change the citizenship law, tackle hate speech and itself stop inciting and encouraging hatred and fear of Rohingya and all Muslims.

So Natural Fruit Company Ltd. seem to be planning on appealing my recent 31st May 2018 acquittal on criminal defamation and computer crimes charges to Thailand’s Supreme Court. No surprise there. The saga of judicial harassment continues

The UN Security Council will discuss Burma again on 23rd July. With the UK taking the same position as China re ICC referral, and backing the Burma govs inquiry despite the fact it can't/won't be a credible investigation, no practical action is likely.

When you hear the British government talk about accountability, remember they have the same position as China regarding ICC referral. They do not support the UNSC referring Burma to the ICC.

The secretary general has been very outspoken compared to his predecessors, even calling out the UNSC last year for failing to act. Now he needs to step up again calling on UNSC to back ICC referral.
