As the Director of Social TV, Eric Weisbrod drives the digital and social media strategy for CNN TV, along with CNN's anchors and reporters.
Weisbrod first joined CNN as an intern for "Crossfire" in 2004, and has risen through the ranks at the network. Previous roles include time as an associate producer and later a Digital Producer for "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." Weisbrod led the development and production of online and Internet related segments for the show and was a pioneer for the integration between CNN's television and social audiences.
Contributing to many of CNN's Emmy and Peabody award winning projects, Weisbrod is also the recipient of a Shorty Award for "Best Use of Social Media" for CNN's 2012 election coverage.
Weisbrod graduated from The George Washington University's School of Media & Public Affairs, with a focus in electronic media and American studies.
