Eric Sherling is CNN's Vice President of Washington Programming. He oversees the network's weekday early evening programming block, including The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and The Lead with Jake Tapper. Sherling also produces CNN's election night, presidential debate and presidential inauguration coverage. Prior to this role, Sherling served as Executive Broadcast Producer of ABC's Good Morning America and as an Executive Producer for CNN. Sherling began his career in television news as a producer for WTVQ in Lexington, KY and WFLA-TV in Tampa, FL. He is the recipient of multiple Emmy, Peabody, and Edward R. Murrow awards. Sherling earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Ithaca College and his law degree cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
