You never know what’s going to be around the corner, so aways be ready with sharp eyes, a fresh mind, a dose of curiostiy and versatile kit. Set your camera preferences in advance and bring a lens that will help you. The flexibility of a #telephoto or #zoomlens, such as the AF-S #NIKKOR24_120mm f/4G ED VR, can help here. For settings, photographer Lukasz Palka likes to shoot on Aperture-Priority along with Nikon’s custom ISO settings. He sets his minimum shutter speed to 1/250 and the maximum ISO to 3200. This way, he can focus on composition and timing and let the camera do everything else.

#NikonPhotoContest 2016-2017 winners have been announced in Tokyo! We'll share some of the winning images with you starting with the Grand Prize winner , Tian Yuan Yuan from China, was awarded for this image entitled ‘Break Time’. Congratulations Tian!
Commenting on this image, Lead Judge, Neville Brody, shares, ‘The main winner this year, is an epic and powerful image, one addressing the global theme of #climatechange and the necessary shift from industrial to less pollutant practises. This image captures that concern in an intense and emotive way, made more poignantly dramatic by being in black and white.

#Nikon100 With over 20 years’ experience using Nikon equipment and, in particular, the AF-S #NIKKOR300mm f/2.8G ED lens, British pro news photographer Nick Stern took his Nikon passion entierly to the next level by having the 300mm lens setting tattooed across his left arm. Nick comments, "I always wanted a tattoo to say something about my passion for photography and this is what I settled on. My only regret is that I didn't get the updated version of this lens with the Vibration Reduction feature tattooed . My left arm has always felt a little shaken without it!" #Nikon100Anniversary
