Aletico Madrid 4-5 World Legends XI: Atletico bid fond farewell to the Vicente Calderon as Diego Forlan and Co take on world legends team in final ever match at the historic stadium.
Diego Forlan, Fernando Torres and Gabi were among the star names to turn out for Los Rojiblancos, while Clarence Seedorf, Riyad Mahrez and former Barcelona legend Ronaldinho featured for the visitors.
It was, in the end, the world XI who ran out 5-4 winners, although the home side took an early lead when Torres chipped the ball over Colombia's legendary goalkeeper Rene Higuita.
Mahrez equalised for the visitors shortly afterwards before Higuita fired the world team ahead from the penalty spot.
Ukraine international Yarmolenko headed the visitors further in front before Cuauhtemoc Blanco extended the lead following a no-look pass from Ronaldinho.
Another goal soon following for the visitors but Atletico hit back with a penalty of their own - Pedro firing past former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek.
With the world legends' defending now non-existent, Atletico were allowed to add two more goals but it proved to be too little, too late as they fell just short of an equaliser.
