Footage shows A31 Dorset biker ride-out crash

Police have released footage of a motorcycle ride-out that left two people with life-changing injuries.

It shows the bikes pulling wheelies and travelling at over 100mph on the A31 near Dorchester in Dorset in May last year.

One of the riders, Adam Wilde, 29, of Carnation Road, Swaythling in Southampton, who was in a group of seven motorbikes from Southampton, has been jailed for three-and-a-half years for his part in the crash.

He admitted two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving at a hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Dorset Police said during the recording, a 16-year-old girl who was riding pillion on one of the bikes could be heard saying "don't encourage him, I'll die".

She sustained "catastrophic life-changing injuries" in the crash, including two bleeds on the brain, severe damage to both of her arms - which she is still unable to use - and a large open wound on her abdomen which required major skin graft surgery.

Four other riders have also been sentenced.
