James Griffiths is a reporter and producer based in Hong Kong. He joined CNN in 2015 and covers Asian politics, censorship and human rights.

Originally from the UK, James has reported on-the-ground for CNN from China, South Korea, Australia and Hong Kong. Prior to joining CNN, he worked for a variety of publications including the South China Morning Post, the Atlantic, the Daily Beast and GlobalPost.

He is currently writing a book about Chinese internet censorship.
