The fight for gay rights: ‘My generation wants to thank you’
Terence was 26 when being gay was decriminalised in 1967. Fifty years later, Mark – who is in his twenties - has a message for Terence and his generation of gay men.
Speaking on 5 live Breakfast, Mark said: “I wanted to thank you more than anything on behalf of my generation and people who are younger than me may take it for granted the freedoms and acceptance we get.”
Terence thanked Mark “for letting us know that what we have done you appreciate.”
