According to a representative of the Jehovah's Witnesses church administration in Georgetown, Ontario, there would be no reason to issue a letter confirming a member's allegiance to the faith (11 Apr. 2002). The representative stated that changing congregations is a personal matter and he was unaware of any instance where a letter has been issued, either in Canada or in Georgia to confirm a member's faith (ibid.). However, prior to moving, members will often ask their congregation administration to send by mail a letter of introduction to the new congregation, and this is frequently done (ibid.).
